“Quick! Get The Back Up Dress!”

It’s happened to me before. You’ve spent hours getting ready, perfectly coiffing your hair, delicately applying your make-up, and most importantly pouring yourself into your fabulous new dress. You hit the town feeling a million dollars, cocktail in hand, commanding the room and scanning the venue, until – BAM – across the room is a familiar sight on an unfamiliar person. Yep, you guessed it – it’s your dress! Suddenly it feels like everyone who walks past you is pointing and muttering, and your perfect hair,  impeccable make-up and fabulous dress suddenly feels on par with the scraggly pony tail, panda eyes and tracksuit you would be sporting to the shops to buy a pint of milk the next morning. Your friends give you the sympathy looks and the obligatory ‘It looks sooo much better on you’ but it doesn’t help. Now imagine that happens to you, BUT you’re a celebrity looking at another celebrity in the same dress while the delighted paparazzi furiously click away. The pictures of course make it into all the mags where they pit you against each other and, inevitably, they find their way on to my blog so I can do the same.

Hey, all’s fair in love and war, but fashion is fair game.

Britney Spears and Ashley Tisdale in Brian Lichtenberg

I would say Ashley gets my vote here – I much prefer the nude shoes to the black. Britney has scrubbed up quite well for her though. Are you TEAM SPEARS or TEAM TISDALE? Let me know below.

Kim Kardashian and Tulisa in Alexander McQueen

Kate Middleton win this one hands down with her long-sleeved version she wore on the Thames for the Jubilee flotilla, but it was previously donned by everybody’s favourite sex tape sweethearts, Kim K and Tulisa. I’m on Team Tulisa for this one, the shoes and hair give this sweet dress a bit of an edge. Leave a comment and let me know if you agree or disagree!

More celebs embroiled in same-outfit-scandals next week. And hey, if I see two girls in the club wearing the same dress, I might just upload pictures that we can judge for our amusement too. I just hope they don’t read this blog…
